HIFF 2017 WRAP UP: Thanks for another great year!

THANK YOU! 

WOW. Another year of HIFF, the eleventh year to be precise, has officially come and gone. This season was full of so many amazing films, events, HIFF firsts, and truly wonderful people. It was gratifying to see local filmmakers representing our province and arts community so proudly through their work, before audiences and other celebrated filmmakers. We have heard so many people discussing how inspired they are to create or re-think their process after attending the HIFF Talent Lab series with visiting filmmakers or attending screenings at HIFF. This is what we aim for as a Filmmakers festival and hope that in one way or another, HIFF has had a positive impact on you either as a spectator, writer, or filmmaker. Thank you so much to everyone who participated in HIFF, in one way or another. We couldn't have done it without you! 

HIFF PHOTOS: 

This year, photographer duo extraordinaire Topher and Rae Studios, captured some wonderful photos of HIFF events that can be viewed on Facebook currently and will soon be sorted into blog posts on the HIFF website, hiff.ca. Be sure to check out the photos and feel free to share! 

FEEDBACK: 

This year, we will be sending out a survey that will allow you to give us direct feedback about your HIFF experience in 2017. We want this festival to best represent the interests of our local film community so we really value your input. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to do and will be a great resource to the planning committees of HIFF going forward. 

HIFF 2018:

We are excited to announce the dates of HIFF 2018! Mark your calendars now for June 6-10th, 2018. Stay tuned for upcoming HIFF blog and Facebook posts with festival updates, information about HIFF related deadlines, and exciting promotional events.
